Event Info:  Dine Out for Safety Mission & History

 It’s one “tasty” event...

Annually, local restaurants, businesses, organizations, and individuals unite in a unique and fun community-wide experience.

On April 25, 2012 participating restaurants will generously donate up to 20 percent of their day’s proceeds to support the mission

of ending violence in our community.  Meet your friends and family at a participating restaurant and a portion of your bill will be

donated back to Arizona’s Children Association to provide support services for survivors of sexual assault and children affected

 by family violence.

...with a proud 16 YEAR history!

In 1997, the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault partnered with a single restaurant in its first Dine Out for Safety.

The event raised $12,000.  In 2009, the event included 40 locally-owned restaurants and raised more than $65,000! Generous

corporate underwriting of this event and donated raffle prizes permit all proceeds from Dine Out for Safety to be used to provide

 services for clients.

Where LOCAL Restaurants Make A Difference for LOCAL Families!

For the first time in 2010, Dine Out for Safety reached out to restaurants across the state to participate in this event and will do

so again in 2012.  Restaurants will donate a portion of their day’s proceeds to Arizona’s Children Association programs in their

own community.  An online raffle will raise additional proceeds for Arizona’s Children Association and its family of agencies.

Every year, we are grateful for the fabulous support Dine Out for Safety receives from the media community-radio, television,

and print.  We anticipate the media coverage and support will be excellent again in 2012!

Dine Out for Safety...a solid organizational mission.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  As a nonprofit with the mission of

“protecting children, preserving families,” Arizona’s Children Association works tirelessly across the state to end interpersonal

and family violence.  We rely heavily on individual and corporate contributions to maintain the quality and efficiency of our

programs to help make all our Arizona communities a safer, healthier place to live.

In Tucson, proceeds from the Dine Out for Safety event continue to be directed specifically to the programs of  the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault, a member agency of Arizona's Children Association.  In other cities throughout  Arizona, proceeds will be directed to the Arizona's Children Association programs aimed to prevent family violence, child abuse  and domestic violence in their local communities. Click on these links to learn more about Arizona's Children Association and Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault.
